For this role, we are looking for a young legal professional who wants to empower the business to make confident decisions in contractual matters as well as secure compliance in line with internal processes. You will get the opportunity to support our Finnish sales organisation during our regular Legal Counsel’s maternal leave, approximately 8 months from August 2023 with support of a local Junior Legal Counsel.

What does a Legal Counsel do at Dustin?

You will get the opportunity to use your drive and talent to support our Finnish sales organisation and support Nordic contract managers with legal advice regarding contractual and privacy matters. As our Legal Counsel, you are part of a cross-functional business environment with many opportunities for growth, learning and responsibility. Your tasks will also include:

• Contract management, including advice on contract terms, contract reviews and deviation reports
• Reporting on new legislation and law development, mainly within contract law.
• Provide expert support to senior management in matters relating to legal compliance with focus on contract and commercial law in Finland.
• Develop training materials, template documents and guides. Support and drive local implementation of legal projects or initiatives in Finland.
• Support in Finnish company law related matters.
• Support and provide advice in negotiations and commercial disputes.

The position is situated in our office in Espoo but some travelling within Finland and the Nordics might be required. As Legal Counsel – Contract Manager, you will be part of our Legal Team of ca 20 persons internationally, collaborating closely with our relations sales organisation in the Nordics.

What you bring

We want to make sure we hire the right person, who will feel successful in this role. Therefore, we are looking for you, who:

• Has a Master of Law or Bachelor of Law from Finland
• Must be comfortable to communicate to both external and internal stakeholders in English and Finnish. Fluency in other Nordic languages is a plus.
• Can perform contract drafting, reviews and negotiations self-sufficiently. Experience from contracting in public procurement and/or IT industry is a plus.
• Has a passion for creating efficient processes, knowledge sharing and building relationships
